Polytechs is an independent company located in Cany Barville (Normandy, France) Polytechs is specialized in the production of masterbatches, compounds, and compacted additive blends. With a capacity of 30.000 tons. Our main activity is the toll compounding of masterbatches, compounds and cold extruded as well as hot extruded additive preblends, for large European polymer producers as well as for polymer converters. Our second activity is the sales our own masterbatches, worldwide through a distribution network which covers more than 50 countries. Amongst our most notorious products are : the PW 60, our new more concentrate product : PW 70, the VM PP 5 X our peroxide masterbatch, and our range of purging compounds : Clean X, that is now covering injection of polyolefin. Our R&D budget for 2013 is approx 12% of our turnover. Our laboratory (Research and Development) intervenes on three levels: - Development of formulations, masterbatches, and compounds created and produced by Polytechs - Assistance and support in the development of products, compounds, and processes for our customers - Technical assistance in the industrialisation phase. Our R&D equipment consists of pilot machines, small-model replicas of our machinery. Polytechs has launched a 5-million euro investment programme to modernise its equipment and to develop innovative products. The first part of this investment has been used for one line of BUSS compounding, with the purchase of an MKS-100; the second part of the investment has been used for two MARIS twin-screw co-rotator machines. Polytechs has also invested €570,000 over the last years in staff training. With over 30 years of experience, Polytechs has a well established brand name and reputation.
